Insurance companies and the CFOA (Chief Fire Officers Association), are promoting the use of third-party accredited companies.

The advantages of using a third-party accredited company is to ensure a level of competence and quality.

Only two UK schemes are acceptable to the fire brigade -
BAFE SP203 and LPS1014.
